Though all of this might seem complicated, it's very easy once you get used to it. It has a plethora of functions that will help you in navigating around the directories, while still retaining the command prompt. NC might seem awkward at first, but in fact it is a very functional genuine DOS era file manager frontend. I found it utterly compelling and quite thought provoking, even though it was quite linear and 'coerced' you into certain actions i.e. I remember this game when it was first released as it was one of the games from my C64 days that I never played and always wished to play.įast foward almost 20 years later, and after using a C64 emulator (*cough*), I finally had the chance to play Alter Ego.
